While the boys of B-town are regularly accused to being mama’s boys, our divas are busy compensating to their dads for the lack of attention.
Being an actress means that your dating life is always the source of much speculation, but when it comes to these seven Bollywood babes, no guessing is required: Their dads are, have been and will always be the most important man in their lives. Here’s a look at seven Bollywood actresses who are in the running for daughter of the year:
Thirty one year old diva of international acclaim she may be, but Priyanka has no qualms that she is her daddy’s little girl. That isn’t us; rather, that’s the elaborate tattoo on her wrist talking! The actress, whose father unfortunately passed away last year, still remains devoted to him and is even known to rush home from US, where she’s currently shooting for her upcoming movie, just to host a pooja for her late father.
The army brat and her dad are said to have been inseparable whenever he returned home from a break in his duties, and apparently little has changed over the years. The diva has been quoted as saying, “I can talk to him what I can talk to no one else. If I am sad and he just comes and sits next to me, it has a calming effect on me."
“I go to him for advice where my personal life is concerned as he is more liberal than my mother. He wants us (Sonam and Rhea) to be friends with him, but I want to talk to him in a certain way and give him that respect as I have strong Indian values,” smiles Sonam, who in spite of accusing Ranbir of being a little mama’s boy, does the very same for superstar dad Anil Kapoor. Which is quite understandable, given that her dad is solely responsible for her entry in Bollywood.

She may have the men of Bollywood eating out of the palm of her hand, but the only man Deepika has eyes for is her dad, world champion badminton player Prakash Padukone and can regularly be spotted arm-in-arm with him at social events.
Her parents might have had an unconventional love story, but Dharmendra’s parenting skills have been as normal possible; in fact Esha is quick to state that dad Dharmendra has always been there for her and she hopes to emulate him; “I am just like my father and I love his simplicity. Even I believe in simple living and in concentrating just on my work.”
The Dabangg actress who holds the special distinction of being the most pampered among all the Sinha kids, is an unabashed daddy’s girl. “My dad has a strong personality, but he is a real softy inside. He is extremely caring and a good role model to have,” she beams.
Mahesh Bhatt is fan of tough love and is extremely protective of his daughters and in turn Alia and Pooja Bhatt ensure that they run everything they do past daddy dearest.
