Thanks to these vivacious ladies who made us fall in love with them, if we ever ran into a genie, we know exactly what we’d ask for.
The fact that they exist only in reel life probably takes the phrase ‘out of your league’ to another level altogether, but were they real, here are seven Bollywood onscreen characters we would absolutely love to date:
Geet, Jab We Met
Vivacious and daring with an unabashed zest for adventure coupled with a somewhat scary lack of self-preservation. Of course, she’s her own favorite, but if you’re willing to settle for second place, Geet is definitely going to make it worth your while.
Anjali, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Not only can she rock the whole susheel bahu look with her flowing sarees, Anjali has also got a tomboy side to her that means that she’s going to spend the rest of her life kicking your ass at basketball, should you ever be so presumptuous as to challenge her. Trust us, this one’s a keeper.
She’s spoilt, she’s rich and she’s got a heart of gold. And well, considering how she’s back on the single market having lost the guy to her roommate, you might want to snap her up, before someone else does.
Ananya, 2 States
The high maintenance Shanaya of SOTY didn’t exactly make the cut when it came to dream girlfriends, but this feisty South Indian of 2 States sure sounds – and looks - like our idea of fun.
She’s ambitious, she’s talented and more importantly, she’s a billion different shades of hot. Date her because though she looks like she’s stepped straight out of the pages of a magazine, Neha is prone to the same everyday insecurities regarding her job and life that other girls go through – Which of course gives you a chance to jump in and play her knight in shining armor. And because your kids will be a billion different shades of sexy as well.
Ambar, Salaam Namaste
Sure, this bubbly RJ has a penchant for roaming the streets in the dead of the night to hunt down ice cream, but she’s also got a zest for life that’ll make you cherish every moment you spend together. And of course, she’s open to live-in relationships, so there’s that.
Jazz, Namastey London
Katrina’s one and only memorable tryst with acting had us rooting for a sequel, purely because even after three hours, we realized we still hadn’t had enough of the bubbly Jazz. She lives to partay, but she can do domesticity as well which will keep your parents happy. And of course, she’s a total wildcat outside the kitchen, which will keep you happy. Trust us, it doesn’t get better than this.
