5 Biggest Scandals of 2012
Posted On 17th December, 2012 @ 13:50 pm by mtv editor

From big shot actresses brazenly making out with their directors in public to drunken brawls with stadium guards, the year 2012 has been dotted with explosive scandals!

On the 18th of May, the country woke up to find SRK’s face splashed all over the papers, with tabloids waxing in glossy detail about how he had been banned from Wankhede stadium for life

2012 has been a good year for the gossip mill. In fact, tabloids have been in a continual state of orgasmic overdose, what with brawls breaking out all over the place and Shah Rukh Khan allegedly making statements like, “I’m a f*cking superstar.” And rather than continue staring at last year’s unattended list of New Year resolutions, we decided to draw up a list of the five of the juiciest headlines that 2012 had to offer:

#5 The Bold And The Brainless

Ranveer Singh may have morphed overnight into a muscled hunk; but thoughtfulness is clearly NOT one of his strongest traits. And that is the best explanation we can come up with for why an actor, who is all but two movies old, would dare to publicly diss Salman Khan’s Eid bonanza, Ek Tha Tiger. The 27 year old star invited the wrath of hordes of Salman Khan fans by announcing, “EK THA TIGER felt absolute bore bt last 15min was magical. nice stunt nd action @beingsalmankhan pra. While I was passing through a multiplex people after seeing Ek Tha Tiger was asking for TIGER BAAM.”

#4 We All Know What You Did Last January

Or do we? The details of the Shirish Kunder – SRK brawl early this year are shrouded in a mystery so deep that it would make a good script for Talaash 2. According to Shirish Kunder’s martyred version of events, he was standing there, distributing some free gyaan on how much Ra.One sucked, when SRK attacked him from behind, along with a group of three bulky bodyguards in tow. Well, we don’t know for sure what went down and we definitely don’t know much about the workings of the industry but something tells us that harping on Ra.One’s inadequacies isn’t the best way of breaking ice with the Khan.

#3 Aisa Mauka Aur Kahan Milega

When Gaurav Kapur and his troupe merrily sang, Aisa Mauka Kahan Milega, they probably didn’t expect the players to take it to heart. However, Luke Pomersbach, Royal Challengers’ batsman, took it literally and decided to make the most of the opportunities presented. Sadly, he ended up being slapped with molestation charges by a foreign national called Zohal Hamid. Things took an ugly turn, when Siddhartha Mallya stepped into the fray and passed a few choice comments on the girl’s character, thereby inviting the wrath of feminists groups across the country.

#2 What Happens In Wankhede

While the jury is still out on whether he smashed Shirish to a pulp in January, SRK’s scuffle with the guards at Wankhede Stadium has become the stuff of legends. On the 18th of May, the country woke up to find SRK’s face splashed all over the papers, with tabloids waxing in glossy detail about how he had been banned from Wankhede stadium for life. However, he did strum up a decent apology later so we guess the Gods will forgive him someday.

#1 She’s Just Not That Into You

It was a balmy day in July when Brad Pitt was rudely ousted from his #1 position on the Most Unfaithful Celebs’ list to make way for Kristen Stewart. The Twilight star knocked us for a six when she was discovered in a compromising position with Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman, who also happens to be married to model Liberty Ross with two little kids. And while Kristen simply waltzed back to normal life after making a public apology, Rupert was unceremoniously dumped from the movie sequel and is now trying to persuade his wife out of filing for divorce.
