Filmmaker Karan Johar is furious over reports related to the cast of his production venture “Shuddhi”.
Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor were finalised as the lead pair of the film, but later Hrithik announced that he is not a part of it anymore.
A lot of rumours are doing the rounds speculating the reason why Hrithik and Kareena walked out of the film. Inside sources leaked that part of the reason behind Hrithik's exit was that he demanded 40% of profits made from Shuddhi.
However, Karan says a news report that the “Krrish 3” star is asking for a profit of the film is false.
“Article insinuating that Hrithik asked for a large percentage of profit for ‘Shuddhi’ is baseless, untrue and completely uninformed,” the “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” director tweeted.
He was also angry over reports saying that he himself is playing the lead in the film.
“I am playing the lead in ‘Shuddhi’! Sounds ridiculous? Well as ridiculous as some of the news reports making the rounds!” Karan posted on Twitter.
We hear that Karan has zeroed in on the Ram-Leela couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, for the film. We wonder how this duo will manage Shuddhi and Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani at the same time! Tough call.
Do you think Ranveer-Deepika will look better in Shuddhi than Hrithik-Kareena? Tell us in the comments below.
