On a recent interview to Variety Magazine, international superstar Priyanka Chopra laid down the basics of feminism like a bawse. Chopra also mentioned she’s not sure she understands when her girlfriends express their doubts about feminism, or when women say they don’t understand the concept. To Chopra, feminism is as simple as she puts it:

“The need for feminism was created because there were no rights for women. That’s why there is not a man-ism, because they always had it.”

Wait, before you get hung up on the ‘not a man-ism’ part, must know that Chopra also believes that feminism is definitely not about hating men. Nor does she believe that feminism is about women being better than men.

“It needs the men in their lives to stand up for their mothers, their sisters, their girlfriends, their wives, their daughters and say that I’m going to change the game for my future generation,” she said.

Further defining feminism, Chopra sums it up with perfect line, and we believe she has this spoken for a most women out there. “Feminism is just saying give me opportunities without judging me for the decisions that I make, the same freedom that men have enjoyed for so many centuries,’’ said Chopra.
