Tubelight’s Social Media Game Is Strong – Kickstarts Cover Video On Facebook

After becoming the first ever Bollywood film to get a dedicated Twitter emoticon, Tubelight tied up with another social media platform to do something different—Facebook. The result? Tubelight is now the first ever Bollywood movie to have a cover video on their Facebook page instead of a cover photo.


The Radio Song, which is currently trending #1 on YouTube, playing in the cover space of Tubelight’s Facebook page. Even though it’s just 20 seconds of a muted video of Khan performing the hook step, it’s still a pretty big deal. Last month, there was news that Facebook is testing cover videos as an option and Netflix original Narcos’ Facebook page was one of the first few who got the cover video feature rolling (no pun, we swear). After Tubelight, now all the verified Facebook pages can upload 20-second videos as cover photos. 


A pretty impressive move, using this innovation to catch more eyeballs. Makes us wonder what’s next. Instagram, maybe?
