Tuesday Thoughts: Perfect Playlist For This Untimely Rain
Posted On 5th December, 2017 @ 17:18 pm by Mihika Jindal

When we looked out of our windows this morning, it was all grey and dripping wet. And going to work was the last thing on our minds. While some of us managed to bunk work altogether, others had to brave the traffic and clogged lanes (venting on Twitter) to the office.

But whether you're at home or working, or stuck somewhere in the middle, don't let that mess with the joy of this unexpected winter rain surprise.

Here are some songs to go with your bhajiyas and chai, irrespective of where you are.

1. Pyaar Hua Ikraar Hua – Shree 420

Open an umbrella over two people’s heads, and there's no chance you won’t get reminded of this classic hit.

2. Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai – Chalbaaz

The rain is always a good reason to have fun, to step out and do a little dance with a song playing in your head. Even better if you can get strangers on the street to join you.

3. Tip Tip Barsa Paani – Mohra

Time to pull out those chiffon saris, and step out for some oomph-atic moves while the sari works to accentuate those curves.

Er... calm down! We were just kidding. Stay inside. The cyclone looks crazy. Also, you don’t want to end up on some rando’s InstaStories.

4. Koi Ladki Hai – Dil To Pagal Hai

The rain makes it easier for those who’ve been struggling to express their love. Maybe these rains have just come so that you can have a great end to your otherwise monotonous year. Take some inspo from SRK wooing Madhuri Dixit.

5. Behta Hai Mann Kahin – Chameli

And rain is also a legit reason to just hum along, while standing in some corner of a random street waiting for the cyclone to pass.

6. Barso Re – Guru

If you’re somewhere that has convenient access to the countryside, this is the best time to go there and watch the trees, the animals, and the nature at large and feel happy!

7. Iktara – Wake Up Sid

A rainy day is also a good time for sitting by the window and introspecting. In case you’ve managed to take a day off today.

8. Tum Hi Ho – Aashiqui 2

It’s also the only time that the cumulative levels of oxytocin go up. And we’re sure making out under a jacket while people scurry around you seeking actual shelter is thrilling.
