If you’re an Apple fan, you might want to sit down for this.

Sorry, but it just needs to be said. Yes, the world may be dissolving in paroxysms of delight over the new iPhone, but here’s why you needn’t join the herd. At the risk of potential death threats from the Apple fandom, allow us to point out the seven reasons why you needn’t risk life and limb to buy the iPhone 6 quite just yet:

Because it costs the earth

A couple of times over. While the price tag of iPhone 6 is being estimated at 60K, iPhone 6 Plus is supposed to set you back by anything up to eighty five grand. If you’re in that much of a rush to part with your money, may we volunteer?

Because Android users have been there, done that

We were all hoping that Tim Cook would put his hand in his magic hat and remove an ace, but as far as innovation and cutting edge technology are concerned, Apple fans will need to set up permanent residence at second spot.

Because its availability is still unclear

The civilians of New York are supposed to have been busy camping outside Apple stores for the past ten days, but if you’re an Apple fan in India, you’ll just have to make do with photos - Retailers in India are unclear about when and if Apple’s latest gizmo will hit the shelves.

Because your camera will be outdated

The new iPhone is kitted with an eight megapixel camera 1.5u size pixels, 5-element lens and F2.2 aperture that is absolutely… Similar to what iPhone 5S had to offer for the past one year. While Sony and Samsung are leading the race with their 13+ MP cameras, Apple appears to be content moving at snail’s pace.

Because you can survive just fine with the iPhone 5S

If you already own the iPhone 5S, robbing multiple banks to be able to afford iPhone 6 Plus makes zero sense. While the new model has been gifted with many upgrades, you needn’t fret about your iPhone 5S looking outdated anytime soon.

Because you can’t expect to get your hands on the iWatch anytime soon

With a price tag of $349 and a vague release date of sometime in early 2015, not only do you have a long wait ahead of you, you also will need to sell off your firstborn child to be able to afford both, the phone and the watch.

Because Apple Pay hasn’t proven its reliability yet

Given the recent scuffle over the supposed theft of sensitive high-profile iCloud accounts, we wouldn’t recommend replacing your wallet with this glitzy smartphone until all the security kinks have been ironed out.
