Strategic Business Development Intern
Location: Bangalore

Global Selling is a critical initiative to grow the Amazon Marketplace Seller Business around the world. The long term vision is that any seller anywhere can start selling items in less than 60 seconds to consumers in over 190 countries with the same great customer experience that Amazon is known for. The India Global Selling team is working to transform how Indian sellers sell by connecting them to customers in over 190 countries. Thus truly taking ‘Make in India’ products to the world ! We are looking for a Strategic Business Development intern as part of the Global Selling team within Amazon Services.

JOB FUNCTION : Business Development
EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Internship
ROLE SUMMARY

The objective of this role is to catalyze business growth for Indian Sellers and Amazon by facilitating international expansion of India based seller partners. In this role, you will develop the expansion strategy and recruit third-party seller partners that deliver competitive inputs to the marketplace. You will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to enable broad use of Amazon Services by small/medium sellers and large enterprises in India wishing to sell globally.



Responsibilities and opportunities 



- Define key retailer segments to target to build long-term business opportunity 

- Understand Amazon Services products and services and be able to articulate its functions and benefits to external audiences.

- Prospect, identify and build relationships with potential partners 

- Identify opportunities, communicate the specific value proposition for their business and establish long-term, successful partnerships with strategic sellers/partner

- Interface with executive level contacts of prospective clients and help them understand the opportunity with Amazon as a sales channel for their business. 

- Drive and create proposals, business cases, and responses to customers' business requirements and take a consultative approach to business development.

Preferred Qualifications:


Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions

High level of integrity; ability to inspire trust by his or her peers and leadership of the company

Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

Willing to roll up your sleeves and directly take on challenging projects 

· Ability to work in fast-paced environment and resourceful in achieving success in the face of ambiguity

· A demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and ecommerce challenges, with the instinct to build and convey compelling value propositions 

A natural bent of mind towards Enterprise Sales or Account Management

· Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
