On The Job season 2 kick starts with a brand new career - Jingle Composing. Keeping with the same promise of giving the winner contestant the first break into the biggest business today- the world of entertainment and glamour.

The first episode of On The Job opened with a musical vibe.

Our three aspiring jingle composers belonged to the three different hubs of India, Gautam from Pune, Himanshu from Delhi and Smit from Mumbai. The task given to them was to compose a 30 sec Radio Jingle for the Lays brand with the lyrics given.

As put by Ram Sampath the big daddy of jingle composing in India, the contestants would be judged on the basis of 3 things:

• Delivering the jingle as per the brief given by the client
• The hum ability and flow
• Originality

The product image must be kept in mind while composing the Radio Jingle.

The contestants were given 4 hours to do the needful which included composing the melody, music arranging and sound mixing.

The brief was given by Harjot Narang from JWT. The jury members were the veteran Ram Sampath, the master of all Pritish Nandy and Manish Kapoor Brand Director J.W.T.

The 22 year old Delhi boy, with his typical aggressive attitude, as all expected had his share of tiffs. Smit, carried his Mumbai flavour and actually surprised Ram with his composition-as quite opposed to his lazy look which Ram often picked on, he did a wonderful job. Gautam too, had his own take but he had to divert from his usual style.
