Follow the stars inside as they occupy ringside seats to the Circus, the defining theme for this year’s Awards. And how! Right from the MTV VJ circus troupe – Ramona wielding a whip in a hot catsuit, Anusha the super-flexible gymnast, Sophia the sensual belly dancer, Nikhil the twirl-master, the tap-dancing Rannvijay, Cyrus Sahukar the stiltwalker, with the king of all clowns, Cyrus Broacha bringing up the rear with his co-host for the evening, the sexy Malaika, sporting a sexy tailcoat, top hat & hot pants! The evening had just begun!

THE HOSTS
Well, you’ve got the sizzling, sensual Malaika sporting a hot new number every time she came on stage.
And then there’s Cyrus – I’m not gonna stop speaking whether you like it or not – Broacha, who with his share of on-stage outfits, took it upon himself to get personal with the stars, did a Troy act with Cyrus Sahukar, represented Sachin and his tennis elbow and finally burst onto stage as Laloo Prasad Yadav and his posse of coolies!

STAGE ANTICS
While the presenters glammed the stage from time to time, it was the ones that handed them the winner names that stole the show.
When Feroze Gujral & the Lycra Brand Ambassador presented Breakthrough Designer, the stage suddenly trembled to the sound of revving bikes and the music of Dhoom Macha Le. While everyone looked out for heroes on Hayabusas, three dwarves dressed up as the star trio of Dhoom rode up on stage in their little tricycles with the winner envelope.
So magicians popped balloons for the winner’s name. They tore paper into shreds only to assemble it again with the winner’s name. Jugglers split open one of the three balls to discover the winner. A sword swallower pulled out three swords from his throat, one of which had the winner’s name on it. There was even a stilt walker and a unicyclist to hand out envelopes. Even Cyrus got into the act, pulling out envelopes from empty bags, pulling out cloth from thin air and pulling out a ball from an empty box, just to announce the winners in each category.
In fact, even Salman conjured up some magic when he swished his hands in the air and pulled off the magician’s moustache!

PERFORMANCES

Trickbaby kickstarted the evening, providing rhythm to an ethnic collection by Rina Dhaka, with ‘Pardey ke Peeche’. The lead vocalist spiced it up using a loudspeaker for effect.
Pentragram tested optimum decibel levels while rocking the ramp for Manish Arora’s Fantasy collection.
Rocky S flaunted his Arabian Nights theme collection to the lilting music of Sandeep Chowta.
DJ Suketu remixed the biggest item numbers ever – Laila Oh Laila, Pyar Do, Pyar Lo, Mehbooba Mehbooba – all for Aki Narula’s ‘Item Circus’ collection. Once he had the crowd moving to his music, Suketu brought on star performer for the night, Raghav, who performed his hit, 'Let’s Work it Out'.
The stars of Musafir made a style statement when Anil Kapoor led the pack with Koena Mitra in a denim mini. Aditya Pancholi sported a black leather jacket, while Sameera Reddy oozed oomph in her off white, full length skirt, that was slit as high as is permissible. Finally Sanjay Dutt stepped up and took the ramp and the crowd with him.
Isha Koppikar, Tushaar Kapoor, Neha Dhupia & Ritesh Deshmukh did a foursome with ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’.
