On This Day, The Swedish House Mafia will begin their first ever tour in India. Here's a short preview:
What seemed like a rumour awhile back, when Swedish House Mafia’s website had presented the abrupt news of the band deciding to split; the fans were in no mood to believe the news. It was well in time that the trio announced the news of “One Last Tour”. Before I carry on; in case, you have extra tickets please surrender them to me; please! I need two tickets, one for me and my friend Satish.
Moving on, the trio of Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso are well established House musicians in their own right. In a poll done by the DJ Magazine, Angello ranked 23, Axwell ranked 12 and Ingrosso was at 26 out of a list of 100. So, these guys are at the top of the game unlike Satish who DJs during festivals; in fact, if you heard Akon’s “Lonely” playing during Dashera in Mumbai, then you must have been listening to DJ Satish.
When Rolling Stones India got in touch with Steve Angello, to discuss his latest ventures, a question about the cause of the bands split was inevitable. He said that the three of them have been friends since childhood and working under the name of Swedish House Mafia has “started becoming less about the music and more about everything else.” The three of them are desperately looking forward to elaborating their individual careers instead of worrying about SHM.
Certainly, there is no way you are going to see them again after their final tour. Nevertheless, we are honored to host them in Mumbai on the 17th and Delhi on the 18th of November. Besides, if you are a diehard fan who lights agarbatties and bow down to posters of the band then there is a memento they have left behind for you; check out the their documentary on YouTube called “Take One”. Also, don’t forget to carry your “Until Now” albums to the venue; who knows they might just fly down stage to autograph them.
